Il s’agit d’établir un devis pour l’élaboration d’un pedalboard pour mon fils de 12 ans qui est guitariste, et je compte allouer tout de même un budget conséquent (environ 1200 EUR). Je suis nouveau client potentiel, et précise que si je privilégie un magasin physique à la grosse concurrence Internet (vous voyez bien auquel site Allemand leader Européen je fais allusion), c’est justement parce que je suis néophyte en la matière, et que je préfère le contact humain d’un vrai professionnel, pour valider des choix qui ne sont peut être pas tous bons. Nous discutons donc, le devis prend forme, et effectivement certains choix que nous avions fait notre fils et moi ne semblent pas être en rapport avec les besoins. Je me dirige donc vers la sortie du magasin, plutôt satisfait, et me promettant de revenir transformer le devis en commande ferme, après un week-end de reflexion. Mais au lieu de sortir, je rentre dans la petite pièce à l’écart où sont exposées dans des vitrines les pédales d’effets de guitare. N’ayant pas remarqué que je n’étais pas réellement sorti, le vendeur commence à débriefer avec 2 de ses collègues notre entretien. Et là j’entends, « il m’a embêté (en réalité dans des termes plus grossiers, mais l’avis ne passe pas si j’utilise la formule utilisée) pendant une heure pour le pedalboard de son fils », profère tout un tas de moqueries à propos de nos erreurs de choix. A un moment de son discours méprisant, il fait une analogie avec « une vieille de 60 ans » (peu importe l’analogie, ce n’est pas le propos ici). Pas de chance pour lui, je suis « un vieux de 60 ans » (plus proche de 61 en fait). J’aimerai bien savoir à partir de quel âge une personne est un individu périmé à ses yeux ? Dans la discussion, j’ai eu le malheur de dévoiler un pan de la personnalité de mon fils (je me sentais en confiance après tout), qu’il s’est permis de railler copieusement.
