On night 6, we dabbled with the Carolina Reaper Stout at 12%. It is easily the best thing that I have ever tasted. It is strong, so be careful, if you see it on your visit.The staff are fun and friendly. The atmosphere is polite with a mix of nationalities. I met Brits, Aussies and of course, lots of lovely people from Lille.The music playlist is perfect. From ambient beats, to indie music to lo-fi and IDM. It makes for quite the evening.Food is available, including a beautiful Aubergine Caviar for us vegetarians. If I remember rightly, at only 6eur for a pot and bread.Disabled access friendly. Lower floor for extra seating. In the heart of the old town.

James Pollock: We visited La Capsule a few times during our trip to Lille. It is small and narrow but there are more seats downstairs. Over 20 different taps full of excellent French, Belgian, and other European beers. Perfect for craft beer lovers. Friendly staff to boot. They also have a bottle shop close by with even more choice of beers. Even picked up a couple Cantillon bottles from there.

Dani Moon: The food was really incredible, but the whole thing took far too long.We (as a party of 2) ordered the 7 course menu but all in all there are actually about 10 courses when you include aperitifs and pre dessert etc. We were there over 3 and a half hours, we were eating fast but there was often 30-40 minutes between courses making it feel very slow and long and not the standard I expected from a restaurant like this. By the time we finished the mains I was exhausted and tempted to skip the two dessert courses and just go home.The staff were friendly and very nice, explained all the menu and each course in English. Overall the kitchen just let down the experience on the timing of this as I didn’t expect to be the first into the restaurant and still there close to closing time.Overall, I probably would not go back or recommend this as an experience to friends and family despite the good food.

Cette diversité de saveurs se traduit aussi par la présentation, que certains trouveront peut être brouillon, mais qui me convient parfaitement. Le rapport qualité prix est bon et surtout le service est avenant et de très bon conseil pour le vin. La petite salle oblige à la réservation, mais rend l’environnement de cette dégustation plus agréable.Seul bémol : pas de clim en cette période de forte chaleur.

Céline NOT: Belle décoration, cadre sympa. Bon accueil du personnel. Dans l’ensemble des plats de bonnes qualité et plein de saveurs. Petit bémol, le bœuf en entrée manquait d’un peu de pep’s quand à la pana cota de citron noir, il aurait fallu expliquer à la commande que ce n’était pas acidulé car du coup c’était un peu sans relief. Mais cela reste un très bon moment de découvertes de saveurs

Les bières sont nombreuses, il y en a pour tous les goûts, et le concept permet de toutes les goûter avant de faire son choix.Nous avons passé une bonne soirée, avec de la très bonne nourriture et de la bonne bière pour pas très cher, que demander de plus ? Si je repasse un jour sur Lille, je reviendrai ici sans hésiter.
