AHGH: This is a great hotel with many pros but also a number of problems. If they fix the problems, this hotel can be the reason for many guests to come back to Lille city and enjoy a luxury stay, including myself.The building is huge and impressive with lots of historical character, and given its renovations, it is a beautiful blend of modern and classic architecture. It literally has places for you to explore, like a little museum, with beautiful green courtyards, old spaces that resemble a classic church or gathering area, and lots of architectural details, including sculptures. There is even a modern bar with nice, contemporary furniture.The room I had was large and beautiful with a unique layout and a beautiful modern bathroom. It had a cute classic space in the sleeping area with French furniture and a comfy bed. Even in the bedroom, there were some nice attention to details such as beautiful French picture frames, wooden walls, and exposed old wooden structures. The hotel has a cute pool and spa rooms that are all modern and nicely designed. The staff were also professional, kind, and helpful. A guy at the reception even gave me a tour. The hotel also has very good access to key areas. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend it for a very unique experience.There were some drawbacks too. Firstly, in the breakfast room, although the space was beautiful and historical and even the choice of French furniture was nice, the breakfast itself was very modest with very limited options. All the hot items had below average quality, and the plates and glasses were not as clean as I wanted. But the croissants and sweet stuff were very nice, though overall the breakfast didn't give me a luxury or 5-star vibe at all. Some of the modern art painting pieces across the hotel spaces were cheap and should be replaced with more authentic modern art paintings. In some of the old parts of the building, they have only painted the old walls to make it feel fresh with dark colors, instead of exposing the original bricks, and it kinda felt a little spooky in some of these areas, such as some of the corridors. The bathroom basin was made of a nice stone but was not perfectly cleaned. Some appliances, such as the hairdryer, were old and not up to standards. The same goes for the equipment to make tea or coffee, which were not at a 5-star level. The TV is located in the wrong place, so it's not practical to watch TV. The Wi-Fi internet was sometimes very poor. Overall, more effort is needed to bring a luxury feeling to the rooms, corridors, and the breakfast

Breakfast had a variety of hot dishes which we enjoyed. Bed was really comfortable and room was impeccable with an old charm. Hotel seemed like a museum so we felt overwhelmed with emotions every time we walked around.

Tatiana Medina Bruni: L'hôtel est vraiment beau et le personnel est adorable ! Les chambres sont belles et confortables (j'ai très bien dormi) et l'emplacement est très pratique. Le spa est au top, j'ai même testé un soin et je recommande à 100% !!! Le petit-déjeuner est très bon et copieux. Mention spéciale à Thomas, Andrés, Gaspard et Nina qui ont tout fait pour que je passe un excellent moment même si c'était pour une seule nuit, merci à eux. Je reviendrai c'est sûr !

Christophe Hobeur: Tout y est pour y être bien. Des l accueil le personnel est agréable, petite visite guidé avec histoire de la bâtisse jusqu'à la chambre. Le lieu est beau, refait et le mélange de style (brique du nord, ancien,moderne) se mélange très bien.La literie est très bonne, on y dort bien et on se laisse guidé pour une bonne nuit.Petit déjeuner comme le reste, personnel au petits soins, service au top et qualité du buffet très bonne.Le bar est lui agréable, on y est bien installé sous une verrière vairé avec un passage de soleil qui chauffe un peu, choix des alcool assez grand avec un choix très large pour les spiritueux.La piscine est elle très agréable, l eau y est à bonne température, le tout inox reflette la lumière bleu transmise par l éclairage, elle n est pas olympique et même loi. Mais on y est très bien.Séjour à refaire au vu des prestations

Mistakd: My mom and I took a plane from Canada to France a few days ago. Staying n this hotel is the best choice we have made about our trip. The guy who runs the place is super friendly and will go out of his way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. He also helped us navigate the city which really saved us a lot of time. The room was beautiful and comfy, and the breakfast was delicious. Speaking of breakfast, we asked for breakfast at 9 am, but since my mom and I are super jetlagged we woke up at 9:40. He waited outside our door for 40 minutes to give us breakfast! We felt so bad about making him wait but he was very friendly about it.Tldr: this is where you should stay.

Martine BIEWESCH: La maison du Champlain est un enchantement pour séjourner à Lille et y découvrir cette ville.Bastien nous a accueilli très chaleureusement dans cette maison de famille chargée d'histoire.La décoration est très soignée.Les chambres d un très grand confort avec beaucoup de petites attentions charmantes.Quant au petit déjeuner servi en chambre ou au petit salon c est un régal. Vaisselle fine, sucré, salé,jus d'orange, yaourt, fruits frais ,viennoiseries et pain frais, préparé par Bastien et servi à l heure de votre choix.Lieu idéalement situé dans une rue calme près du musée des beaux arts.On peut facilement tout faire à pied.Nous avons été enchantés de cette étape Lilloise que nous recommandons.Bravo à Bastien pour son professionnalisme et sa gentillesse.

Ce fût un magnifique séjour, nous avions réservé la chambre mansardée, et notre cher hôte Bastien ( tant plébiscité et à juste titre) nous a surclassé en nous installant dans l'une des chambres de l'étage plus spacieuse. Maison bourgeoise typique du Nord, avec des hauts plafonds, cheminée en chambre, un parquet d'antant ,tout cela décoré avec goût et finesse.Nous avons demandé notre petit-déjeuner en chambre quelle fût notre surprise de voir toute cette belle vaisselle , une table royale! De plus les produits étaient de qualité, du bio ,du frais et du fait maison. Si j'avais pu mettre une meilleure note je l'aurais fait.Merci infiniment Bastien pour votre superbe accueil.

Erik Sudre: Quelle déception ! Ne mérite plus 4*J'ai passé 2 jours en convention (sans y dormir) au Couvent des Mimimes.Arrivée à l'hôtel : La cour de réception a l'extérieur est un vulgaire parking. On se croirait à l'arrière d'hôpital ou d'une caserne. Moche.Réception de l'hôtel : on voit que ça a été un établissement de standing, mais ce n'est très frais. Dans les vitrines de souvenirs, des bouquets en fleurs sèches qui s'efritrent, poussière sur les etages. Receptioniste pas très aimable.Arrivé dans le cloître, très belle bâtisse, ça a de l'allure !En revanche, entre le bar central, la mezzanine, les paravents pour l'espace restaurant et petit déjeuner, c'est très confus et cela fait bricolage des espaces.Le barman est débordé : une table de 6 a côté de moi... Il fait 3 fois le va et vient pour servir : les plateaux n'existent pas ici. J'attends 15mn mon cocktail. Le barman ne connait pas la recette, il est le nez dessus, derrière son comptoir.Dîner le soir : ce n'est pas bon, et le dessert est une sorte de gâteau spongieux au chocolat, là, mauvais. C'est de la nourriture type collectivités, servi à la mode restaurant chic.Le lendemain, déjeuner du séminaire sur le mode buffet/cocktails : joli aspect, mais carrément pas bon ! Au secours. Sauf 2 ou trois canapés sales et les miniardises sucrées. Première fois que je vois une sorte de poubelle de table a côté des plateaux où certaines personnes on recraché les canapés...Bref une catastrophe.Seul bon point : belle salle de réunion, climatisée (ce n'est pas le cas du cloître ou il faut bien chaud en été '..) et bon équipement vidéo.Cet établissement n'est absolument plus au niveau de sa réputation passée.A éviter, SURTOUT LA RESTAURATION.
