We knew this good restaurant rather rated in Lille, but had not been there for a while.What a disappointment...the quality of this restaurant is absolutely not maintained by the new owners. Minimal main course menu: 3 starters, 3 main courses, 3 "desserts". For the dishes, a fish and 2 meats offered. We chose a Flemish carbonnade, a typical dish from the North. The meat was totally unsuitable as it was skewered meat and not the rather stringy meat needed for a good stew.For dessert, a very limited choice: a brownie, a tartlet or gourmet coffee. Our choice fell on the gourmet coffee, very far from being gourmet! We feel that the sweets offered are dry, not fresh from the day and without much thought.The population of this place has also changed a lot, which was previously much more distinguished and adapted to the gourmet and fine place that this restaurant WAS. The change of ownership is unfortunately a lot to feel.In short, very disappointed with our meal in this restaurant, what a pity with the potential that existed for the Part des Anges.

Redelijk ervaren als wijnproever wist ik snel te duiden dat het hier wel om een Bordeaux kon gaan, maar geenazins een Saint-Julie, laat staan een 2015 - een erg goed jaar voor deze wijn. Een ander zou erin zijn getrapt. Ik heb gevraagd de wijnfles te zien, waarna de aap uit de mouw kwam. Een Pomerol. 2017. Heeft niets, maar dan ook niets met Saint-Julien te maken, behalve dat ze beide Bordeaux zijn. Prima wijn, niks echt mis mee, maar niet wat ik besteld heb. Het excuus: ik was het vergeten te zeggen, mea culpa, sorry, sorry etc. De Saint-Julien was op. "Maar deze is echt heel goed, en minstens even duur". (...)Echter: het gaat niet om 'vergeten te zeggen'. Het gaat erom dat ik dat als klant wil kunnen bepalen. Óf ik een alternatief wil. En zo ja, wát ik dan wil. Vraag het mij. Ik heb er zéker geen vertrouwen in dat dit 'per abuis' was. Eerder willens en wetens een klant proberen te bedonderen. En dan heb je aan mij een verkeerde. Namelijk een goede wijndrinker. En dan ook nog een gladde 'manager' die bij mij vervolgens gaat aandringen dat dit alternatief toch écht ook héél goed is schiet bij mij in het verkeerde keelgat. En dat terwijl hij, weliswaar met mondkapje, helemaal over mij heen kwam buigen. Intimiderend bijna. En bovendien niet echt fris in een periode van covid pandemie.Uiteindelijk is mij deze wijn niet in rekening gebracht. Alleen het glas frisdrank van mijn dochter. Een glas cola ad 8 euro... (!) Dat is dan ook de enige goede geste die ze konden doen om niet slechts één ster te krijgen, maar dus twee. Zou ik hier nog heengaan?Nee, zéér onwaarschijnlijk - dit is voor mij een typisch "foute tent".

Dani Moon: The food was really incredible, but the whole thing took far too long.We (as a party of 2) ordered the 7 course menu but all in all there are actually about 10 courses when you include aperitifs and pre dessert etc. We were there over 3 and a half hours, we were eating fast but there was often 30-40 minutes between courses making it feel very slow and long and not the standard I expected from a restaurant like this. By the time we finished the mains I was exhausted and tempted to skip the two dessert courses and just go home.The staff were friendly and very nice, explained all the menu and each course in English. Overall the kitchen just let down the experience on the timing of this as I didn’t expect to be the first into the restaurant and still there close to closing time.Overall, I probably would not go back or recommend this as an experience to friends and family despite the good food.
