AHGH: This is a great hotel with many pros but also a number of problems. If they fix the problems, this hotel can be the reason for many guests to come back to Lille city and enjoy a luxury stay, including myself.The building is huge and impressive with lots of historical character, and given its renovations, it is a beautiful blend of modern and classic architecture. It literally has places for you to explore, like a little museum, with beautiful green courtyards, old spaces that resemble a classic church or gathering area, and lots of architectural details, including sculptures. There is even a modern bar with nice, contemporary furniture.The room I had was large and beautiful with a unique layout and a beautiful modern bathroom. It had a cute classic space in the sleeping area with French furniture and a comfy bed. Even in the bedroom, there were some nice attention to details such as beautiful French picture frames, wooden walls, and exposed old wooden structures. The hotel has a cute pool and spa rooms that are all modern and nicely designed. The staff were also professional, kind, and helpful. A guy at the reception even gave me a tour. The hotel also has very good access to key areas. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend it for a very unique experience.There were some drawbacks too. Firstly, in the breakfast room, although the space was beautiful and historical and even the choice of French furniture was nice, the breakfast itself was very modest with very limited options. All the hot items had below average quality, and the plates and glasses were not as clean as I wanted. But the croissants and sweet stuff were very nice, though overall the breakfast didn't give me a luxury or 5-star vibe at all. Some of the modern art painting pieces across the hotel spaces were cheap and should be replaced with more authentic modern art paintings. In some of the old parts of the building, they have only painted the old walls to make it feel fresh with dark colors, instead of exposing the original bricks, and it kinda felt a little spooky in some of these areas, such as some of the corridors. The bathroom basin was made of a nice stone but was not perfectly cleaned. Some appliances, such as the hairdryer, were old and not up to standards. The same goes for the equipment to make tea or coffee, which were not at a 5-star level. The TV is located in the wrong place, so it's not practical to watch TV. The Wi-Fi internet was sometimes very poor. Overall, more effort is needed to bring a luxury feeling to the rooms, corridors, and the breakfast

AL 1: Really disappointed ! The room we were given was very very very small, the hotel has aged badly, it deserves a good facelift. In terms of breakfast, nothing extraordinary, really the bare minimum, not even real orange juice. Only the setting and the location are good.

Nadia Koenig: Hôtel propre, calme (alors qu'on était côté rue) et bien placé ( à côté du centre commercial et de la gare). Les réceptionnistes étaient très accueillants, gentils et souriants. Ils ont pris quelques minutes pour discuter et nous aidé à trouver un restaurant, une banque comme on le souhaitait. On a passé une superbe nuit. Pas de clim mais comme on est à Lille on peut comprendre. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de serviette pour s'essuyer les mains dans la salle de bain. Possibilité de laisser les bagages après le check-out pour pouvoir se promener. On retiendra surtout le professionnalisme et l'amabilité des réceptionnistes qui ont rendu ce séjour fort agréable. Nous avions réservé depuis plus de 9 mois. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à l'accueil le jour prévu à 15h et que nous avons tenté de rentrer notre chambre, celle-ci était encombrée de valises et les personnes présentes ne comprenaient pas ce que nous faisions là. Quand nous sommes redescendus, l'employé a tenté de se justifier (sans succès) et nous a alors proposé une autre chambre. Quand nous sommes remontés, nous n'avons pas réussi à l'ouvrir. Une autre employée nous a alors accompagnés et oh surprise, elle s'est rendue compte que quelqu'un occupait déjà ladite chambre ! Après être montés et descendus plus de 4 fois pour rien pour finalement n'avoir aucune chambre sans que jamais cela n'inquiète le personnel le moins du monde, nous avons décidé de partir et de nous faire rembourser, d'autant plus, que l'incompétent qui nous a accueilli nous avait vanté les chambres "non fumeur" alors qu'une odeur de tabac nauséabonde régnait dans l'hôtel (tout cela dans une chaleur indescriptible). Je me demande vraiment comment vos 3 étoiles vous ont été attribuées, je pense que vu le manque de sérieux, de professionnalisme, cela ne vaut même pas une demi-étoile ! Pour avoir beaucoup voyagé et avoir fréquenté de nombreux hôtels de la même catégorie, c'est incompréhensible et irrespectueux pour ceux qui respectent les règles et accueillent les clients chaque jour de façon chaleureuse et adéquate. Ce n'était pas non plus la peine de me louer votre petit-dejeuner avec vue panoramique alors que vous n'êtes même pas capable de faire correctement votre travail en attribuant les chambres de façon correcte ! Heureusement que tous les hôtels de Lille ne sont pas du même accabit ! Nous avons trouvé beaucoup mieux ce qui n'est vraiment pas difficile. A éviter si vous souhaitez passer un séjour serein (je n'ose même pas imaginer l'état des chambres et le service vu l'aperçu de l'accueil...)
