Pedram Pourabbasvafa: For 50 euros a night it is ok. Room super small. Hotel is old. Toilet is extremely small. The location is the best. Super close to station, super close to all the touristic areas. Room is not super clean and stuff is old. But the bed sheets were clean and acceptable.

It also lacks air conditioning, due to the heat it was there. We were on the first floor and the noise with the window open is disturbing for a quiet night. I have an apnea device and a small, less narrow table would have been a plus. Nathan T: I would agree 100% with the average rating of 3.9 on google maps for this hotel. Let me detail for you why this score feels appropriate from my perspective.First, the bad. This hotel is very basic in what a hotel is supposed to offer: a place to store your belongings, to sleep for the night, and to maintain oneself (bathing, toilet, etc.). This hotel provides these things, but only just enough to pass. For example, there's a bed, but no headboard. There's a shower, but barely enough room to turn around. There's a desk, but it's tiny. As I said, the basics are all there, but it's all just barely passing.Another negative are the thin walls. You can hear others in the rooms above and adjacent. For me, it wasn't so bad during the day when everyone is out and about, but you could hear everything. This can be problematic if you're a light sleeper.A final negative is the wifi. Because each room signs into the wifi with a code, I could only connect one device at a time, so I had to choose between connecting my phone or my laptop. I couldn't be on the wifi with both devices at the same time.But now let's get to the good stuff. The first thing is the location. This hotel is literally in the middle of it all. As soon as you step outside, you could go any direction and you'll be on your way to the sights and sounds of the city. This hotel is one block from where the "main" action is in Lille, and about a 10 minute walk to Vieux Lille.Next is the staff. The people who work at this hotel are absolutely wonderful. They're very welcoming and friendly. With 62 rooms, I was impressed that they remembered who I was and what room I was in. This is especially noteworthy because the hotel still uses physical room keys with a big keychain attached. When you leave to go out, you need to leave the key at the front desk, and then they give it back to you when you return. But anyway, every staff member I encountered during my four-night stay was terrific.So, in all, if you're wanting a luxury stay, this hotel probably isn't for you. But if you're just using your room as a place to sleep, shower, and store your stuff, this hotel is great.(As a note to my fellow pet-owners, dogs are allowed at this hotel for 9€ per night.)Rooms: The rooms are small and basic.
