AHGH: This is a great hotel with many pros but also a number of problems. If they fix the problems, this hotel can be the reason for many guests to come back to Lille city and enjoy a luxury stay, including myself.The building is huge and impressive with lots of historical character, and given its renovations, it is a beautiful blend of modern and classic architecture. It literally has places for you to explore, like a little museum, with beautiful green courtyards, old spaces that resemble a classic church or gathering area, and lots of architectural details, including sculptures. There is even a modern bar with nice, contemporary furniture.The room I had was large and beautiful with a unique layout and a beautiful modern bathroom. It had a cute classic space in the sleeping area with French furniture and a comfy bed. Even in the bedroom, there were some nice attention to details such as beautiful French picture frames, wooden walls, and exposed old wooden structures. The hotel has a cute pool and spa rooms that are all modern and nicely designed. The staff were also professional, kind, and helpful. A guy at the reception even gave me a tour. The hotel also has very good access to key areas. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend it for a very unique experience.There were some drawbacks too. Firstly, in the breakfast room, although the space was beautiful and historical and even the choice of French furniture was nice, the breakfast itself was very modest with very limited options. All the hot items had below average quality, and the plates and glasses were not as clean as I wanted. But the croissants and sweet stuff were very nice, though overall the breakfast didn't give me a luxury or 5-star vibe at all. Some of the modern art painting pieces across the hotel spaces were cheap and should be replaced with more authentic modern art paintings. In some of the old parts of the building, they have only painted the old walls to make it feel fresh with dark colors, instead of exposing the original bricks, and it kinda felt a little spooky in some of these areas, such as some of the corridors. The bathroom basin was made of a nice stone but was not perfectly cleaned. Some appliances, such as the hairdryer, were old and not up to standards. The same goes for the equipment to make tea or coffee, which were not at a 5-star level. The TV is located in the wrong place, so it's not practical to watch TV. The Wi-Fi internet was sometimes very poor. Overall, more effort is needed to bring a luxury feeling to the rooms, corridors, and the breakfast

Steven Binic: Chambre 205 pour une nuit. Deuxième étage, fenêtre (qui ouvre) sur petite cour intérieure (très calme donc), spacieuse, identique aux photos de l'établissement, clim silencieuse et facile d'utilisation, propreté exceptionnelle, tout le nécessaire dans l'espace cuisine en termes d'ustensiles et vaisselle, grand lit douillet et grand téléviseur. SURTOUT l'accueil, chaleureux, souriant. Mise à disposition de livres, jeux, accessoires de cuisine (un plat à raclette par exemple lors de ce séjour), déco... il n'y a qu'à se servir, sans façons. Toujours au rdc un espace cuisine partagée, avec tout le nécessaire pour ceux/celles qui préfèrent diner hors chambre. Grand espace lumineux pour cette cuisine et le petit dej buffet (que je n'ai pas pris mais semblait très bien garni). Quelques bières et boissons au frais pour l'apéritif. En conclusion, un rapport qualité/ accueil/ prix très très raisonnable (moins de 120 euros à ce jour). Espérons que profitant de tous ces bons commentaires les prix ne soient pas revus à la hausse! Trevor To: nice room as usual with second door between living area and the communal corridor which screens out all the noise from the corridor. our room faces one of the internal courtyards and was very quiet at night. no pigeons or birds singing early in the morning or drunken crowd.Food & drinks: there's plenty of breakfast places around so think if you want to pay for the hotel one. you can also get nice pastry, fruit and yoghurt from the Intermarche supermarket which is 3 minutes walk away. note the reception can't sell alcohol after 10pm, so you have to go to the nearby bars.

lee sent: Stayed in the NOCNOC’s Retro apartment for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much! Right in the centre of Lille, which is close to everything by foot. Easy check-in/ out using a code (key no needed which is super convenient), the place is spacious, lighted and contains well equipped kitchen w all the instruments u need to make a good breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom was great as well. Also, I would like to command Caroline, my host, which was kind, available for any question and so caring (she even brought in a fan and a coffee capsules). I would definitely book this apartment (or their other locations in France) again in the future! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kai Chou: Het hotel is werkelijk perfect gelegen voor een citytrip. In het winkelhart van de stad, maar zonder last te hebben van de drukte door de goed isolatie. Er zit een Indigo parkeergarage naast de hotelingang (tip: reserveer van tevoren je plaats en je ontvangt korting op de normale tarieven). De kamers zijn ruim genoeg voor twee en er is genoeg licht. De airco doet het fantastisch; bij 30+ buiten was het binnen heerlijk aangenaam. De service van de medewerkers was heel fijn; meedenkend en erg gastvrij. Fijne eerste kennismaking met deze keten!

Lea Catungal: Only stayed for one night but was in a good location where all the shops are and a good location for evening ice creams. Old town is only a short walk away too. The room was clean and comfortable and the view was cute. The walk in shower/ toilet could be seen as a bit awkward so only get a shared room if you're comfortable with your travel companion or partner! Didn't have time to check out the bar for free cold drinks or try their breakfast but I'm sure it is great.

Johan V.S.: Bizarre situation. We are returning guests. We check in, the receptionist proposed to charge our credit card already and we agree. We put our luggage in the room, and go out in the city. 2 hours later we receive a message from home that we have to return immediately. We announce it at the reception and the receptionist, very friendly, tells us he has to charge the whole amount but that we can write to his supervisor to explain the situation and ask for a refund or at least a commercial geste. What we do. Supervisor, Marie Ange Sagniez, responds that she cannot do anything because the rooms were sold, and even if we were hardly in the rooms it has to be completely re-cleaned and the personnel was gone anyhow. I never expected a full refund, although the receptionist said it could be possible. But at least I expected something, like a voucher for a next stay. Even if it was 5 Euro. Just something symbolic. Like that we would feel like a valued customer and we would certainly come back. And I told her that. No reaction. How polite. Of course I will never put a foot inside this hotel, and it make me think twice for next trips if I will stay at Novotel, or the whole Accor group, and maybe go for Hilton or Marriott, where I'm always and in every hotel treated with respect like a valued customer.

Le personnel est très sympathique et disponible.Les chambres sont d'une bonne taille et les salles de bain sont équipées d'une baignoire et d'une douche ce qui permet aux couples de gagner du temps.Le buffet du petit déjeuner est copieux et il se prend dans la salle de restaurant.

Ludivine Mrq: Nous avons étés très déçu, effectivement au vu du prix de la chambre et des services que Novotel offre cela n’a pas répondu à nos attentes. En effet, nous n’avons rien à dire sur la localisation qui est parfaite, rien à dire sur les places pour se garer mis à part que celles ci sont payantes. Nous avons étés accueillis normalement. Concernant la chambre nous nous attendions à beaucoup mieux, pour commencer dans les toilettes il n’y avait même pas de brosse à WC ni de serrure sur la porte. Ensuite, dans la salle de bain la VMC était pleines de poussières et le miroir abimés et les savons quasiment vides. Le deuxième lit est un clic-clac ce que nous avons apprécié cependant celui ci n’était pas droit comme une cuvette, très inconfortable. Le lit principal n’était pas non plus très confortable mais cela dépend sûrement de chaque personne. Dans le petit frigo que vous pouvez trouver dans la chambre il n’y a même pas une petite bouteille d’eau à l’intérieur, seulement des verres vides. Rajouter des services de streaming à la télé serait un plus. La chambre était dans son ensemble propre mais il y’avait quand même de la poussière apparente dans plusieurs endroits.Niveau insonorisation côté rue nous n’entendions rien cependant côtés couloir ce n’était pas la même chose. Les rideaux étaient assez occultants mais la lumière du jour rentrait tout de même. Pour terminer, nous trouvons que le rapport qualité prix n’y est absolument pas, à 147€ la nuit, nous nous demandons où sont les 4 étoiles annoncés pour cet hôtel.

Les points positifs : l’hôtel est très bien situé (environ 500m de la place de Bethune) en plein centre ville, le personnel est accueillant et le rapport prestation/prix du petit-déjeuner est top. Points négatifs : les économiseurs d’eau sont trop efficaces. Résultat, un filet d’eau pour se laver. Dans la chambre 408, le second double vitrage qui sert à isoler la chambre des bruits de la rue était « bancal ». Une cale en carton à suffit pour le remettre droit mais après une longue journée, je ne m’attendais pas à bricoler.
