Pierres & Tradition en Luberon: Very nice establishment with a warm welcome. However, there was a small problem with the room we were in: SPA part, very recent building (while originally it was rather the old one that attracted us). View of the street, on the first floor, so it is impossible to open the curtains (sails), and the blackout curtains let the light in despite everything (waking up at 6am). A small effort also on the cleaning which would be to be perfected and in particular for a 5 star. This opinion, I hope, will help to advance this beautiful establishment which, in my opinion, deserves a little more rigor.

AHGH: This is a great hotel with many pros but also a number of problems. If they fix the problems, this hotel can be the reason for many guests to come back to Lille city and enjoy a luxury stay, including myself.The building is huge and impressive with lots of historical character, and given its renovations, it is a beautiful blend of modern and classic architecture. It literally has places for you to explore, like a little museum, with beautiful green courtyards, old spaces that resemble a classic church or gathering area, and lots of architectural details, including sculptures. There is even a modern bar with nice, contemporary furniture.The room I had was large and beautiful with a unique layout and a beautiful modern bathroom. It had a cute classic space in the sleeping area with French furniture and a comfy bed. Even in the bedroom, there were some nice attention to details such as beautiful French picture frames, wooden walls, and exposed old wooden structures. The hotel has a cute pool and spa rooms that are all modern and nicely designed. The staff were also professional, kind, and helpful. A guy at the reception even gave me a tour. The hotel also has very good access to key areas. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and will recommend it for a very unique experience.There were some drawbacks too. Firstly, in the breakfast room, although the space was beautiful and historical and even the choice of French furniture was nice, the breakfast itself was very modest with very limited options. All the hot items had below average quality, and the plates and glasses were not as clean as I wanted. But the croissants and sweet stuff were very nice, though overall the breakfast didn't give me a luxury or 5-star vibe at all. Some of the modern art painting pieces across the hotel spaces were cheap and should be replaced with more authentic modern art paintings. In some of the old parts of the building, they have only painted the old walls to make it feel fresh with dark colors, instead of exposing the original bricks, and it kinda felt a little spooky in some of these areas, such as some of the corridors. The bathroom basin was made of a nice stone but was not perfectly cleaned. Some appliances, such as the hairdryer, were old and not up to standards. The same goes for the equipment to make tea or coffee, which were not at a 5-star level. The TV is located in the wrong place, so it's not practical to watch TV. Breakfast had a variety of hot dishes which we enjoyed. Bed was really comfortable and room was impeccable with an old charm. Tatiana Medina Bruni: L'hôtel est vraiment beau et le personnel est adorable ! Les chambres sont belles et confortables (j'ai très bien dormi) et l'emplacement est très pratique. Le spa est au top, j'ai même testé un soin et je recommande à 100% !!! Le petit-déjeuner est très bon et copieux. Mention spéciale à Thomas, Andrés, Gaspard et Nina qui ont tout fait pour que je passe un excellent moment même si c'était pour une seule nuit, merci à eux. Je reviendrai c'est sûr !

celia boulanger: Très bonne expérience à l'hôtel Barrière de Lille. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. La chambre était propre, silencieuse et avec une belle vue sur le parc. Nous avons eu de petites attentions très agréables (petits chocolats pour l'anniversaire de mon conjoint, accueil personnalisé, bouteilles d'eau). Nous avons également profité du restaurant La terrasse du parc pour un dîner et 2 petits-déjeuners, ainsi que du casino. Nous sommes aussi allés au SPA pour le hammam et le sauna (il n'y avait pas grand-monde, ce qui était appréciable). Tout était sur place et donc très pratique. Le Vieux Lille est également situé à 15-20 min à pieds de l'hôtel, ce qui permet de ne pas utiliser sa voiture. Pour conclure, je recommande cet hôtel.

Nous y avons séjourné pour fêter notre date d’anniversaire avec ma Compagne grâce un article auparavant paru dans Le Figaro, toutefois, le désenchantement commence dès la porte de la chambre (440 pour l’occasion). Poussières, gobelet de brosse à dent sale, aluminium de la bouteille de champagne des précédents clients, poils et cheveux bruns dans le lit.. et ça ne pouvait venir de nous, nous avons les cheveux clair (rousse et blond..), climatisation en panne ce qui nous a permis de ne pas trouver le sommeil de la nuit (il faisait 32’c ce week-end ci) bref… expérience ratée. J’en ressors le goût amer, n’être qu’un client, plus fatigué qu’en arrivant..Sortons donc de la chambre et allons dans le « Club », c’est la partie de l’hôtel où sont situés des canapés, de quoi se rafraîchir, profiter de manger ou simplement boire un café. L’expérience d’un hôtel 4 étoiles ne se suffit pas qu’à ses chambres. Offert par la maison, un apéritivo. Pour l’occasion, de la viande de jesus et du pain. Effectivement de bon goût, nous sommes agréablement surpris, nous demandons au service d’où vient la viande et le pain (nous pensions que le local est une priorité de nos jours). Nous avons eu la réponse que le bain et la nourriture venait de fournisseur PassionFroid, pas du boulanger du coin ou un fermier, un charcutier local… pour vulgariser la chose, le Carrefour à 150m peut peut-être avoir les mêmes produits… aïe l’expérience est aussi malmenée aussi au « Club ».Cet hôtel ne vaut malheureusement pas ses 4 étoiles ou en tout cas l’image que nous en avons. Les seules étoiles que vous aurez la chance de voir seront quant au moment de payer sur le terminal bancaire à l’accueil. Les meilleurs ambassadeurs d’un établissement sont ses clients et n’ont pas leur carte bleue.

This lovely little hotel was booked for us by the Eurostar because it's apparently the hotel that the staff stay at when traveling.Less than 2 minutes walk from the Lille train station, this hotel was accommodating from the very moment we walked in. A calming oasis in the busy city center, with calm lo-fi playing and smiley and friendly staff behind the check-in desk and bar for drinks. The attendant booked us in quickly, handed us our room key and added "You've got the best room", exactly what we want to hear.The executive suite was spacious, with good wifi, a large bathroom and drinks and snacks waiting for us. It was so silent after a day of stress that you could watch the busy city down below but hear only a pin drop.The shower in the morning was clean and powerful, exactly what you needed after a soft and quiet night's sleep in the spacious double bed. I can't give it a 5 star review however, because there are plenty of other hotel rooms I've stayed in that are much better.We woke up feeling like the staff had looked after us, and thanked them in the morning for their service.A really great hotel for a city transfer after the Eurostar.
