Olivier Goossens: Our stay was OK for one night. We didn't sleep very well because our room was too hot, without any decent aircon or the possibility to open the window. Shower and TV were broken. I would rate the hotel 3* instead of 4*.At the breakfast unfortunately I had a piece of glass in my fruit salad, which lead to bleeding gums in my mouth. This lovely little hotel was booked for us by the Eurostar because it's apparently the hotel that the staff stay at when traveling.Less than 2 minutes walk from the Lille train station, this hotel was accommodating from the very moment we walked in. A calming oasis in the busy city center, with calm lo-fi playing and smiley and friendly staff behind the check-in desk and bar for drinks. The attendant booked us in quickly, handed us our room key and added "You've got the best room", exactly what we want to hear.The executive suite was spacious, with good wifi, a large bathroom and drinks and snacks waiting for us. It was so silent after a day of stress that you could watch the busy city down below but hear only a pin drop.The shower in the morning was clean and powerful, exactly what you needed after a soft and quiet night's sleep in the spacious double bed. I can't give it a 5 star review however, because there are plenty of other hotel rooms I've stayed in that are much better.We woke up feeling like the staff had looked after us, and thanked them in the morning for their service.A really great hotel for a city transfer after the Eurostar.

Kai Chou: Het hotel is werkelijk perfect gelegen voor een citytrip. In het winkelhart van de stad, maar zonder last te hebben van de drukte door de goed isolatie. Erik Sudre: Quelle déception ! Ne mérite plus 4*J'ai passé 2 jours en convention (sans y dormir) au Couvent des Mimimes.Arrivée à l'hôtel : La cour de réception a l'extérieur est un vulgaire parking. On se croirait à l'arrière d'hôpital ou d'une caserne. Moche.Réception de l'hôtel : on voit que ça a été un établissement de standing, mais ce n'est très frais. Dans les vitrines de souvenirs, des bouquets en fleurs sèches qui s'efritrent, poussière sur les etages. Receptioniste pas très aimable.Arrivé dans le cloître, très belle bâtisse, ça a de l'allure !En revanche, entre le bar central, la mezzanine, les paravents pour l'espace restaurant et petit déjeuner, c'est très confus et cela fait bricolage des espaces.Le barman est débordé : une table de 6 a côté de moi... Il fait 3 fois le va et vient pour servir : les plateaux n'existent pas ici. J'attends 15mn mon cocktail. Le barman ne connait pas la recette, il est le nez dessus, derrière son comptoir.Dîner le soir : ce n'est pas bon, et le dessert est une sorte de gâteau spongieux au chocolat, là, mauvais. C'est de la nourriture type collectivités, servi à la mode restaurant chic.Le lendemain, déjeuner du séminaire sur le mode buffet/cocktails : joli aspect, mais carrément pas bon ! Au secours. Sauf 2 ou trois canapés sales et les miniardises sucrées. Première fois que je vois une sorte de poubelle de table a côté des plateaux où certaines personnes on recraché les canapés...Bref une catastrophe.Seul bon point : belle salle de réunion, climatisée (ce n'est pas le cas du cloître ou il faut bien chaud en été '..) et bon équipement vidéo.Cet établissement n'est absolument plus au niveau de sa réputation passée.A éviter, SURTOUT LA RESTAURATION.
Pom Prvot: Emplacement parfait. Bâtiment parfaitMais, c'est un 4 étoiles et pour le tarif, on aimerai avoir des prestations de qualités.La chambre est vetuste. Aucun travaux de rénovation n'a été fait depuis 1990... Salle de bain idem.Planche apéro du bar de l'hotel : charcuterie en barquette et fromage de supermarché, le tout pour 18€Parking de l. Hotel payant a 21€ pour 1 nuit ( ou 24h c'est pareil)Café soluble en chambre...Que de prestations décevante au point de vue du prix qu'on paye pour la nuit. On aimerai au moins avoir des prestations de qualités digne d'un 4 étoiles.Personnel de l'hôtel fort sympathique.

Johan V.S.: Bizarre situation. We are returning guests. We check in, the receptionist proposed to charge our credit card already and we agree. We put our luggage in the room, and go out in the city. 2 hours later we receive a message from home that we have to return immediately. We announce it at the reception and the receptionist, very friendly, tells us he has to charge the whole amount but that we can write to his supervisor to explain the situation and ask for a refund or at least a commercial geste. What we do. Supervisor, Marie Ange Sagniez, responds that she cannot do anything because the rooms were sold, and even if we were hardly in the rooms it has to be completely re-cleaned and the personnel was gone anyhow. I never expected a full refund, although the receptionist said it could be possible. But at least I expected something, like a voucher for a next stay. Even if it was 5 Euro. Just something symbolic. Like that we would feel like a valued customer and we would certainly come back. And I told her that. No reaction. How polite. Of course I will never put a foot inside this hotel, and it make me think twice for next trips if I will stay at Novotel, or the whole Accor group, and maybe go for Hilton or Marriott, where I'm always and in every hotel treated with respect like a valued customer.

Hélène Biard: Very nice hotel whose restoration took place in 2019. The staff is very friendly and available.The bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms have a bath and shower which saves time for couples.The breakfast buffet is plentiful and is taken in the dining room.

Ludivine Mrq: We were very disappointed, indeed given the price of the room and the services that Novotel offers it did not meet our expectations. Indeed, we have nothing to say about the location which is perfect, nothing to say about the places to park except that these are paying. We were welcomed normally. Regarding the room we expected much better, to start in the toilets there was not even a toilet brush or lock on the door. Then, in the bathroom, the VMC was full of dust and the mirror was damaged and the soaps were almost empty. The second bed is a sofa bed which we appreciated however this one was not straight like a bowl, very uncomfortable. The main bed was also not very comfortable but that surely depends on each person. In the small fridge that you can find in the room there is not even a small bottle of water inside, only empty glasses. Adding streaming services to TV would be a plus. The room was overall clean but there was still dust in several places.Soundproofing level on the street side we did not hear anything however on the corridor side it was not the same thing. The curtains were quite blackout but the daylight came in all the same. Finally, we find that the value for money is absolutely not there, at 147€ per night, we wonder where the 4 stars advertised for this hotel are.
Matt Vassallo: Another cheap hotel that refuses to enable the air conditioning system in the bedrooms, forcing you to sleep with the windows open listening to people screaming and shouting all night before you eventually wake up covered in mosquitoes bites. Antoine Vangermée: Nuit à l’hôtel en couple pour le week-end (nuit de samedi à dimanche). Les points positifs : l’hôtel est très bien situé (environ 500m de la place de Bethune) en plein centre ville, le personnel est accueillant et le rapport prestation/prix du petit-déjeuner est top. Points négatifs : les économiseurs d’eau sont trop efficaces. Résultat, un filet d’eau pour se laver. Dans la chambre 408, le second double vitrage qui sert à isoler la chambre des bruits de la rue était « bancal ». Une cale en carton à suffit pour le remettre droit mais après une longue journée, je ne m’attendais pas à bricoler.
