A little regret not having tried the 7 courses when we saw the pasta cooked in the wheel of parmesan cheese and flambéed. The dishes are full of taste and perfectly seasoned, The flavors are worked to perfection, the pre-dessert and the dessert were really great, the staff is very friendly, the service is efficient, the place is pretty. Lyon Chen: Warm welcome. Nice pick of tableware. Dishes are well cooked and partly integrated with Asian style of seasoning. Vegetables are seasonally selected. The true surprise is fish main course that we like the most. The steak though is a bit too tough for us but seasoning and pairing vegetable and seeing are good.Desserts are good to look and taste as well.Soft drink and beer are good but wine is ok.Will come back and recommend

Unfortunately, this wasn’t matched by the food.The starter, bread covered with roasted vegetables, was very tasty.The mains, tortellini stuffed with cheese with a truffle sauce and spaghetti with a seafood sauce (mussels, salted fish and octopus) were bad.The tortellini was not well made and could have been shop bought. We didnt finish this dish.The spaghetti was in a tomato sauce with salted fish, mussels & octopus. There was no salted fish visible in the sauce and the mussels didnt appear to have been cleaned. The tomato sauce was very gritty. The body of the octopus was very tough. After a couple of mouthfuls, this dish was left.The waiters tried to avoid coming to our table when they saw we had left the food. They did not try to rectify the situation or offer any apology.Not a good experience.

Dani Moon: The food was really incredible, but the whole thing took far too long.We (as a party of 2) ordered the 7 course menu but all in all there are actually about 10 courses when you include aperitifs and pre dessert etc. We were there over 3 and a half hours, we were eating fast but there was often 30-40 minutes between courses making it feel very slow and long and not the standard I expected from a restaurant like this. By the time we finished the mains I was exhausted and tempted to skip the two dessert courses and just go home.The staff were friendly and very nice, explained all the menu and each course in English. Overall the kitchen just let down the experience on the timing of this as I didn’t expect to be the first into the restaurant and still there close to closing time.Overall, I probably would not go back or recommend this as an experience to friends and family despite the good food.

Specifically, I looked at the few negative reviews received and the responses from the manager of this account. I admired that the restaurant stands up for their food, as the reality is that the customer does not necessarily always have to be right.I had a 3-course meal, and simply put it was of high-quality, well presented and delicious. You can easily notice that they really care about their food here.The starter was light and flavorful, the Welsh was generous and outstanding, and it is impossible to forget about the dessert which was the recommendation of the chef. Bruno Brottier: Hotel superbe, service au top, "normal" pour cette catégorie.Nous y étions pour un brunch spécial, réunissant plusieurs chefs faisant découvrir la cuisine de plusieurs pays.La pluie nous a fait passer de la cour aux salles intérieures, tout a été géré de main de maitre, efficacement et sans stress apparent, sourires et amabilités.

It is clear that without a talented and creative chef behind the stoves, the Clarance restaurant is certainly in danger of losing its Michelin star.In conclusion, my experience at the Clarance restaurant in Lille was disappointing. The menu offered was average, the service did not deserve a Michelin star and various issues such as improvised tables, stains on chairs and high wine prices contributed to this disappointment. Also, the absence of the original chef only accentuates the shortcomings of this establishment. Unless serious improvements are made, it seems likely that the Clarance restaurant will lose its Michelin star in the future.
